What does it do ?

It downloads files from the net using the BitTorrent protocol.

I have lots of stuff to download, where can I find this ktorrent thingy ?

Go to bugs.kde.org and report/request it ! When you report bugs, please include the torrent file (or a link to the torrent file) + the log file which can be found in /home/your_name/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/
