What is it?

Guidance is a set of system administration tools implemented as kcontrol modeles. Currently, it consists of the following parts:

• mountconfig A tool to graphically edit /etc/fstab and other media in the filesystem
• displayconfig A tool to edit all kinds of display-related settings, such as resolution and driver settings
• userconfig A tool offering a graphical user interface to editing system users and groups
• serviceconfig A tool to configure the boot process (via init) and to start and stop system services
• wineconfig A tool to set up wine
• grubconfig A tool to configure the grub bootloader
• powermanager A tool to monitor battery status and to configure various aspects of laptop powermanagement
